Ernest Davies Hi, my mother Ruby Louisa Davies was the eldest of the three daughters of Ernest Davies and Beatrice Evans or Hale who married in Barry, South Glamorgan in 1925. The other two daughters were named Betty and Cynthia. One of these two married a policeman named Tony Blyth, and was living in Bristol in 1968. After Beatrice died Ernest married a woman with a son named Royston and a daughter named Winifred. I have searched the marriage indexes, and have found a likely match for his second marriage with a woman named Edna P Williams in 1943 in Wrexham. I know that Ernest was living in the Reading area in 1953, and that he worked with the railroads. He possibly moved to Shrewsbury after he retired. A death registered there in Jan 1990 may refer to this Ernest. Can anybody give me any information about Ernest or his first wife Beatrice please. |
