I am trying to find out information on my maternal great grandmother, Isabella Anderson. She was last heard of shortly after my grandmothers birth in 1911 in Carnoustie, Scotland. All we know is that my grandmothers parents were not married and her fathers surname was Napier. His family shipped him off to Canada in disgrace and shortly after my grandmothers birth Isabella followed in search of him leaving my grandmother with family friendsthe 'Bennetts'. He returned sometime later and died in Scotland but she was never heard of again. We assume they were both young when my grandmother was born and the only other information that we know was that Isabella was a domestic servant and that at the time of my grandmothers birth both her parents lived in addresses in Kinloch street, Carnoustie, Scotland. Any information would be welcome. |
