My great great grandfather was Job Harrison who married Ann Hannah Kent Rogers in the mid 1850s in Liverpool. In the time of my great grandma Mary Eliza's birth in 1859, they were living at 40 Henderson Street, Toxteth Park. She was baptised at St Peter's, Church Street, Liverpool. At the 1861 census there were 3 other children, Margaret b1856, William G (possibly George)b1854 and either Joseph A or Job A b1858. He is listed as an Engineer on the marriage certificate and his father is shown as Thomas (Engineer's Asst). He was also married before to Lydia Clare who must be the mother of William G (1854) I cannot find any trace of them in the 1871 census but Mary Eliza had moved to Preston by 1881 and was pregnant with my grandad George Harrison by James Snape, who she later married and had seven further children. Can anyone help? Sue Taylor |
