Anita Long nee Roberts looking for two Roberts lines: Mothers family - Christmas Roberts b.1861 d.1938 his wife was Catherine Evans b.1865 d.1937 lived in Leigh area of Lancs. Fathers family - John Edward Roberts b.c1889 his wife was Edith nee Roberts b.1892 d.1940 they also lived in the leigh area. The info we have is patchy to say the least. We know there are family connections in Denbigshire N.Wales and also in Gresford. However so far any links we have are tenous. can anyone help please.

Hello Ralph,

My great, great Grandfather, William Lacey married Elizabeth (b1846) who was a daughter of John Roberts (b1814) from the Gresford area. Her and her siblings were all born in Gresford. John became a Game Dealer/Green Grocer in Wrexham by 1881.

I've been in touch with a Benjamin Roberts who is a descendant of Elizabeth's brother, Charles, who is living in Durban, South Africa.

If you think there is some link, get in touch.

Regards,
Lawrence Anthony Lacey (known as Anthony)

Hello Lawrence, it is now over 5 years since Ralph posted that message so I doubt he is still checking and possibly is not even a member any more.
You can try clicking on his name and sending a GR email that way, but why not put your family names into the search box above and see if anyone on this site has them in their tree? If so, you can contact the tree owner for more details. Regards. Cx.
