My mothers maiden name was Marjorie Joan Young although I am not sure if Young was the name she was born with it could have been Carter, she was born in either Dorset or Dorchester 1918. She was not very vocal about her past so its pretty hard to put the puzzle together. Other names would have been Carter and Coleman. She had one brother Michael Archer I believe was his name last known where abouts Southsea, Portsmouth. My mother's first husband was David Coleman and they had a duaghter Diane, David was in the navy(later died in the war when his ship was blown up in the docks at Portsmouth) he was older than my mother and had a daughter from his prev marriage Barbara. My sister has an old picture of Barbara, my mother and a lady they lived with known to my sister as Granny Bulley. After her first husbands death my mother later married a man from Oldham Thomas Collinge and had 4 more children - we all moved up to Oldham in 1962. Anyone with any remembrance please contact me Janice Collinge. |
