Member Since: October 2004 Posts: 863 Send Message	Iam trying to find where my grandfather was born. Hiis name was WILLIAM JOHN LEWIS married my grandmother Edith Nash in Gloucester in 1914. He was a dentist and I believe had his own practice in Gloucester where he was living at the time but I am sure he originated from Wales. His father WILLIAM LEWIS on marriage cert. was a hairdresser. I know he had a sister called MILLIE married to WYNDHAM PARFITT and they had a tobacconist shop I think in Bargoed. Their daughter Mary married a polish gent name of PROC and they owned a China & jewelery shop in Caerphilly opposite the castle. I believe they lived in Machen Another sister of grandad was JESSIE, her and her husband owned a large China store in Chepstow. My grandparents seperated when my father was young but I know grandfather was still alive in 1943 because he knew my dad had been killed over Holland I have tried for months trying to locate William John Lewis's on the 1901 census. I do hope there is someone out there who could give me a lead.
