Member Since: November 2004 Posts: 4 Send Message	I am trying to trace relatives of my grandfather John William Allen, also known by the surname Herring. He was born about 1897 in possibly the Rotheram or Sheffield area, but moved to south~east London when very young. He married Gertrude Irving in1920 and had one son, John Allen. He was usually known as Jack and worked for the council for many years. I would just like to make contact with other family members and build up my family tree. Many thanks.
