Trying to find Davies

Trying to find Thomas Davies, born about 1854 in Mold, Flintshire. In 1901 Census was living in Liverpool, married to Sarah, with 8 Children: Edward, Robert Henry, Eliza Jane, Herbert, Gordon, Arthur, Stanley and Gladys. All the kids were apparently born in Liverpool, although I think I've found the birth Certificate for Edward and he was born in Mold like his parents. My paternal grandad was the son of Robert Henry Davies, and I know he had some cousins who I would be very interesting in finding. Any information on any of the kids or Thomas & Sarah would be fantastic. Thanks very much! Helen Davies

Hi, Helen.

My grandad was called Robert Henry Davies. If he's the same one, he may have moved to Salford, in Manchester, and somehow fought with the Australian Army in WW! as a machine-gunner. I think it would have been when he came back that he married Anne Nancy Coombes, from somewhere in Yorkshire, and they had 5 kids, Raymond, Reginald, Norman, Joyce and Joan. Joyce was my mother by adoption, but she had a natural son by Thomas Morgan, also called Thomas, who is a grandad himself. On the Davies line, my Uncle Reg had 2 boys - Kevin and Alan. Kevin is also a grandad, or will be, soon!

We've lost touch with Raymond and Norman and my mum and aunt passed away, in '89 and '08, respectively.

Also, I believe that my grandad had a nephew called Lesley (male), but I don't know who Lesley's father was.

If any of this information matches up, I - at least - would be very interested in further communication with you.
