ETHEL JOHNSON My mother, Judith Mary Johnson was born in Islington, July 1945, her biological mother was Ethel Johnson, at least thats what was written on her birth certificate, and her father unknown. We are trying to locate Ethel or her family to maybe piece together her origins. We only have a little information as not many people new my real grandmother. She apparently came from the Leics or Beds area and grew up on a farm with her parents and two older brothers, she came to London as she was pregnant with an American GI's child. Soon after she gave birth she gave my mum over to the person i have always know as nan. No formal adoption ever took place. We believe that she returned to Leics/Beds, got married and had two boys of her own.
