I know this is a long shot with a surname like Evans, but I'm trying to trace my grandmothers family. She is listed in the 1891 census as living in Dinas, near Llantriant, with her mother Jane b.1849, widow of Jonathan, her 2 brothers Daniel b.1869 and William b.1873 and her sister Catherine b.1885. She went in to service for a doctor who lived on Newport Rd Cardiff opposite the old Infirmary, met and married my grand father William Rockey in 1908.They lived in Seymour St Splott cardiff and had 6 children- Leslie,Emmoline (who died young) Glyn, Nesta Lillian(my mother) and William. If you can help me plas get in touch. |
