A Welsh Baker Hi I'd love to hear from anyone who has any information or is in any way related to a Sarah Baker. Born Sarah Elizabeth Baker in 1902 she was registered in the district of Bedwellty (South Wales). It was believed the family lived in Blaina, Monmouthshire. According to what sources I have she had a twin sister Phoebe although strangely enough the only Phoebe registered on the birth indexes for that year is in a different county. She also had another sister Edie and a brother Bill. In 1920 she married my great grandfather William Emos Aubrey Jeffreys in the registered district of Criokhowell. In 1922 she gave birth to a daughter Gwenllian Aubrey Jeffreys and a son Ron Jeffreys followed in 1923. I am not clear from the family whether a formal divorce took place or not but she and William were seperated and she went to live with another. If anyone can pick up the story where I left off and help me fill in the gaps I look forward to hearing from you Blessings Alana |
