Although it should be simple - I cannot find any records of a birth of ELIZABETH (or Grace) HARRIOT HANNAH BENNETT who (I believe) was born in England about 1847. He parents (per her Death Certificate) were JOHN BENNETT and GRACE COWAN. Elizabeth married a JOHN HILL and following his death (Durham area) about 1868 she moved to Scotland and joined my tree. She died in 1912 (aged 65). I have plenty experience with Scottish Records although NIL with English. I have tried Free BDM looking for her birth, her marriage and her parents marriage - no success. Any assistance welcomed. Frustratingly I feel this should be easy with a full name like that!! Bob |
