David Martin & his wife Catherine moved from Scotland tothe West Derby/ Bootle area about 1856 with their eldest son David (b1855 in Scotland). John (b1857 Liverpool) married Joanna Austin of Sheffield (& possibly had a son Austin Alfred Martin b1883). David Jr married Charlotte Lockley & had Catherine b Bootle 1880(who married Thomas Mercer), David (b1884 Bootle), Charlotte (b1885 Bootle), Herbert (b 1896 Bootle) who married Mary J Anderson in 1915 at Liverpool Holy Trinity, & finally William (b1899 Bootle). Thomas b 1863 Bootle married Catherine Mark in Lytham. His sister Margaret (b 1858)married William Jones. Phoebe probably died young as I can find no marriage for her. Finally, Euphemia (b1866 Bootle) married Thomas Kershaw & had George Kershaw (b 1894 Seaforth), Euphemia Kershaw who married Leonard Roberts, Edward (b 1891 Seaforth), Marion Kershaw (b 1893 Seaforth), Thomas Kershaw (b 1896 Liverpool) & Margaret Kershaw (b 1900 Liverpool) who possibly married George Lewis in 1921 in West Derby.
