Just an update, I have recieved the marriage certificate and looking at the adress on there it is the right one as this is where my grandad grew up.

Alberts father was Joseph Birch and Gladys father was William Cooper

Also try putting your relative's name into the Search Trees box above (in the dark green bar), to see if anyone else on this site has them in their tree.

David this is a very old posting. Your reply will probably not be seen.

If you wish to post your own enquiry, then I assume this is your Gladys May's marriage.

If you buy the marriage cert it will tell you if her father was Thomas

Hi ya, i am researching my family tree and my great grandmother was a gladys may cooper who married a albert henry birch and lived in the wolverhampton area, do you have information on your gladys may at all and wether it is the same gladys may as my relative.

Would be gratefull of any help you can give.

Trying to find information about Thomas Cooper (great- grandfather) who married.....Wilkes who may have come from the Walsall area of Staffordshire. My grandfather was Arthur Wilkes Cooper married Eliza Titley and who after his marriage lived in Oxley Street, Wolverhampton. Children iArthurThomas, Ida, Gladys May, Alice Evelyn, Harry Wilkes and Denis Ernest. Any information would be appreciated. Other names Bert married Marie; George, children George, Doris, Betty and Vera; Ida married Ernest Law daughter Penelope.
