I am trying to find information about William Thomas (also known as Bill and Taffy) who came from Swansea (possibly somewhere else in north Gower). He married Sylvia Saunders from Pontlliw and they had a child named William John Frederick Thomas in 1947. The marriage broke up soon afterwards. I believe that he worked in the maritime field (I think as a sailor and a dock worker) and also won a boxing title in the military (can't remember which branch or weight division). He lost a brother during World War II but I do not know if he had other siblings. I guess that he was born around 1920 and he died at the very end of 1998. He is buried in Swansea, overlooking the bay. He last lived in Iorwerth Street/Stryd Iorwerth. |
