Hi IM Jean do you have a John and Sarah Martin in your tree??JOHN born 1824 in CHRISTCHURCH SURREY,{Parents UNKNOWN}Occupation HAWKER}SARAH born 1837/38.in ST, GEORGES ,S, Middlesex ,{occupation STREET SINGER}Cant find marriage for them gone 5years to 1860 thinking they may have married befor first child my [GRANFATHER JOHN JUNIOR}was born in 1865/66. then twin boys in 1868,a daughter 1870,a son 1878, and a{ Daughter 1879 who died in 1882}.But no sign of a marriage ......But Sarah did marry after John died in SEPt 1881 just after the census,She Married in JAN 1883 to a ROBERT BOLDING HE was 36years old and she was 45years old and she claimed to be the widow of JOHN MARTIN. PS I did find a marriage for a John MARTIN and A SARAH BYRNE in April 12th ,1855 but She died in SEPT 1856.Could he have been married before?? and then just lived as man and wife with my SARAH?? as a lot did in those days..........IF anyone can help solve this mystery Id be very Grateful as its driveing me up the wall, to put it POLITELY...... JEAN. |
