Trying to find Maude Elizabeth Robertson born at LennoxCastle near Glasgow on the 9th July 1951. First home for first few weeks Crookston between Glasgow and Paisley Scotland. We then moved to Kenya and spent most of our childhood there. She always called herself Liz or Elizabeth. She met and married a man by the name of Dunkin[ first name unknown] while she was in Sri Lanka about 15 to 20 years ago. Apart from confirmation she was still alive about 10 years ago, when dad tracked her down through the home office and she promised them she would contact my parents, there has been no word. I have tried many ways to find her. Maybe someone out there can help. Her very worried sister Stephanie Also. Does anyone remember the Robertson family who ran a dance school in Glasgow in the early 1900's?I think the dance school was near or in Bellahouston ,just where one of the Kingston Bridge now is. Grandpa[James Orr Robertson] used to play the piano for them and was dux of Bellahouston Accademy. His son of same name was born in 1925. His wife was Maude Mattilda Black came from Hyndland Glasgow. They were probably born about 1900. James Orr Robertson jun married Gladys Stewart born 1924 and hailed from the Manchester area. |
