Looking for information on my Grandfather and his family James Clark. According to the 1901 census they were listed as Clarke. James was aged 9 and was living in the Bolton Upon Dearne area of York West Ridings born in Pilsley Derbyshire. Also listed in the house was Louisa Clarke aged 36 Born Staffs Brown Hills John Clarke aged 35 Born Yorks Kiveton Park William Clarke aged 13 Born Pilsely Derbyshire. I know that they lived in Goldthorpe around 1925 and onwards. Louisa owned several businesses in the area including a shop and a cineama. Any information would be grateful. |
