Looking for infomation on William Henry Thompson, who is my great grandfather. Apart from the information that he was a "metal annealer" on my grandfathers wedding certificate, I have no other information about him. His son, my grandfather was also William Henry Thompson was born in 1888, and he was a shipyard labourer at the time of his marriage on 12th February 1908 to Annie Birch, a jute worker. They were married and lived at Barrow in Furness, Lancashire, Now Cumbria. His wife came from Dudley/Halesowen, but I believe they met in Barrow, though nothing is certain. Any information would be a great help. Thanks. |
