I'm looking for the Cox family who lived in Chalfont St Giles and Chalfont St Peter, Bucks - in particular information/relatives of Alice Cox and her sister Rose. Their parents lived in the area all of their lives and Alice married a Lancelot Smith who came from Norfolk. They lived for many years in Layters Green Lane and Larney, as he was known, worked as groundsman and gamekeeper at Chalfont Park. They had 6 children - Donald, Basil, Reggie, Michael, Joan and Marjorie. Alice and Rose's mother lived in a cottage on Gold Hill Common and died in the early 1920's. |
