Looking for any information anyone may have on the following HILL family: Herbert Hill, bc 1843, a Plasterer of Hanley, Stoke on Trent. Wife Margaret (nee Lawton?) bc 1842, Hanley Children were all born in Hanley, Stoke on Trent and were: Agnes, bc 1867 (married Alfred Boon) Thomas Herbert bc 1869 George bc 1871 (my GGdad, married Mary Elizabeth Webster in 1900) Mary Ann bc 1873 William bc 1875 Minnie bc 1880 Jessie bc 1889 I think all the sons followed in their fathers footsteps and were plasterers. Herbert started a firm called Hills Plasterers in Hanley circa 1861 and all his sons worked for him although I am not sure about Thomas Herbert because although all other sons are familiar to my dad (also a plasterer who worked for the same firm) he had no recollection of Thomas. I am also unable to find him on 1901 census. I Any information would be gratefully received. |
