Hi I am trying to find out details about my mothers family, who she ceased to have contact with some time in the 40's/50's. Here's what I know. My mums name is Doris Eileen and she was born in Nottingham in 1925. Her parents were called Emma and John Brooks, and I believe that her father was a miner. She had several siblings; the only ones that I know of are Phyllis (who was born about 1923) and Edna. Phyllis sadly died in the late 70's. All I know of Edna is that she was married to Jack Evans, and that my Mum lived with them after her parents died. Jack and Edna had a son called John Richard, who I believe was born in the month of March in the late 30's/early 40's. My Mum and her sister moved down to London. I am trying to locate anyone that can help me regarding her sister Edna Evans and her family. Many thanks. |
