I would like to find out more about my paternal grandmother, Rosa Jeanes, whom I never met. My father was Herbert (Jeanes) Lewis. He was born in Acton, west London, to Rosa Jeanes, a draper's assistant on November 4, 1914. As far as I know he was adopted from a children's home by a Mrs Lewis and brought up in St Clement's, Oxford. I think he had a half-brother. |
