My name is Michelle Nadine Barnes nee Skelton. I live in Whangarei, New Zealand. I am trying to work out who my paternal grandfather was. His surname was Skelton. I believe he would be deceased by now. I think his christian name was Alfred. Could be wrong. He lived for awhile in the Chatham Islands [sth east of Sth Is. New Zealand]. Probably around 1923 to 1925. Sorry not sure. I understand he lived mainly in Tauranga in later years. He was definitely living there in the early 1960's. I realize it's a long-shot, but does anyone out there know who I am talking about. I am 51 yrs of age, and still don't know who my Dad's Dad was. It means a lot to me & my brother. Pse help if you can - any informaiton would be very much welcome & appreciated. |
