Hi, I'm Hazel Wilson & I'd love to hear from anyone decended from Joseph Jackson who lived in Alston, Cumbria. He was born in 1835 & died in 1920. He worked as a miner, farmer & publican. His first wife was Mary Harrison & they had 9 children - George William, Matthew, Isabella, Thomas, Joseph, Mary Ann, John James & Sarah + 1 other. He married his second wife Elizabeth Teasdale in Feb. 1885 & they also had 9 children - Caroline Rose (Carrie), Thomas, Nancy, Henry (Harry), Frances Elizabeth, Ruth May, Laura Beatrice, Sarah Irene (Renne) & Arthur (my grandfather). I know Carrie, Tom & Harry all moved to Western Australia along with George & Matthew. Isabella, I belive settled in Queensland. Any information would be greatly appreciated. |
