I am trying to find ancestors/descendants/relatives of : JOHN THOMAS, b1815, Pembroke. Listed in 1881 Census living at 23 Cobs Row, Ystradyfodwg, Glamorgan. Occupation: Butcher. Wife, MARGARET, 2 children (that I know of). MARTHA, b1853 in Caermarthen & BENJAMIN, b1861 in Llanwinio, Caermarthen. BENJAMIN THOMAS listed in 1901 Census living at 59 Gelligaled Road, Ystradyfodwg, Glamorgan. Wife's name is MARGARET. 6 Children: CERIDWEN, JOHN, DAVID, JONAH W, GWLADYS & MORFUDD (twins). Benjamin was very well know grocer/Butcher, and had connections with the Presbytarian church at Bethel, Ystrad, and Charing Cross Road, London. Died in 1940. At that time his neice was Miss M Evans of 46 Tyntyla Road. Other relatives were: grandson HAYDN Thomas; nephews, Jonah Reynolds, A.J.Sims, Harold Sims & Michael. Also had relatives in Aberdare. Any information would be much appreciated. |
