Gertrude Ivy Baker (married Robert Leonard (Bob) Lay in 1948) Born 1917 in Portsmouth, her mother's name was Maud, father's name was Harry. Maud had quite a number of children (12? - Trudie was the youngest). All I know is that there was Buster, George, and Ida. One sister married a major of the New Zealand army and moved at the end of the war with him to New Zealand, they had two children and boy and a girl). Maud and Harry moved their brood to London at some stage. There must be hundreds of descendants of this particular branch of the Baker's and any information would be very gratefully received. With many thanks John |
