Trying to find Wright

Barbara Report 18 May 2004 22:30

Trying to research my great-grandmother Jessie Wright. Appeared on 1901 Census living at 6 Martyrs Passage, Woolwich, aged 28, born in Glasgow. It shows record of my grandfather aged 6 months. Birth certficate for my grandfather Alfred William John Wright born 12th September 1900 shows no father. Jessie then married a William George Isaacs in 1902 and lived in Red Lion Lane Woolwich. Witness at the marriage was an Ellen Wright, shows her father as a James Wright (deceased). Then Jessie shows up years ater on an electoral role living with a Henrietta Wright (must have reverted to her maiden name) - no mention of William Isaacs. My grandfather once told me his family came from Inverness, but that may have been some of his mother's family or father's. Does anyone out there know anyone from their own family trees who may fit the bill?
