I am trying to trace relatives and friends of my father, Frank Evans born 6 June 1925 in Bromley, Kent and his sister Doris Mary ( known as Mary) Mountain born, I beleive in 1919, Bromley. Mary died in 1964 aged 44 and my father died in 1979 aged 54. Dad lived in Hove, West Sussex at the time and Mary lived in Shoreham-by- Sea, West Sussex. We understand that their parents died quite young and a younger brother, Albert, was either adopted or fostered but we don't know where. We don't know where the younger children were placed but another brother Edward Henry, known as Jack died in 1943 in Italy during the war. He was married to Hilda. A sister, Annie May, born approx 1908 moved to the Birmingham area and we have vague recollections of visiting people there. We think their parents were called John Henry Evans and Dorothy Evans nee Huggett but we cannot find any trace of them as the family has a habit of not using their registered names. Does anybody have any knowledge of these people or their friends. With everyone dying at a young age we have no one left to ask. 11.05.04 We have now found the birth entry of Edward Henry Evans in 1915 and the subsequent marriage of John Henry Evans and Dorothy M Huggett in the month following his birth. But we would still like to hear from anyone who would be able to fill in the many gaps.
