My maternal grandfather THOMAS KING was born in Galway Bay, Ireland in 1906. His parents names were Margaret Walsh and George King, and he was the youngest of 21 children. He always used to say that there were 5 sets of twins among his brothers and sisters. Some of his brothers and sisters name were Jack, Bridget, possibly a Lizzie and Annie?? He left Ireland sometime between 1927 and 1933 when he married my grandmother. I believe that Jack was just a few years older than Grandad because he did visit Ireland to see his brother Jack after he retired in the early 1970's. Apart from that, I know nothing about his family. Can anyone help? |
