hi , I am trying to trace the relatives of Alfred frank Walker b. 1888. I have him here in the 1901 census, in London but his father was from Hardington, Northampton: 1901 census has a family at 61 Stepney Green: James Walker, head, age 45 b Hardington Northampton, foreman boot trade Marth [sic, I expect this means Martha,], wife, age 39 b London Spitalfields Collis [hard to read, perhaps this is wrong], daughter, age 17 b Norwich, boot machinist Alfred Walker, son, age 14 b London Whitechapel [here he is!] Harry Walker, son, age 10 b London Whitechapel Mary Walker, daughter, age 8 b Hardington Northampton Maud Walker, daughter, age 3 b London Bethnal Green (also present: Harris Mason, boarder). |
