Elizabeth Report 22 Apr 2004 10:34

TAYLOR - Ernest William John. On birth certificate it states Ernest John William. Father was John Taylor lead works labourer - Mother Annie Emma Elizabeth Taylor formerly Holbrook. Father lived at Beaufort Road Barton Hill and birth was in the sub district of Saint George Bristol. There were two sisters - Violet M Taylor born 1913 Lilian A S Taylor born 1912 I believe both married - Violet to a Mr. Edward Long Lilian to Mr. Stanley Verney. Any information would be most welcome. Ernest's army record has he was born at Reading but no birth certificate matches except the one at Bristol.. He was based at Nira Camp, Nira, Poona Area India during 1942 - 44. His army number was 791917 and he was Staff Sergeant. I believe he may have been in the Military Police. I also think he may have been in the Somerset Light Infantry. I would be grateful for any information on him as I am trying to build up my family tree.
