I am trying to solve a mystery with regard to my great great grandparents , James Wright & Jane Wright. In 1881 James & Jane lived at 38, City Road, Cambridge. James was born on the 15th August 1817 & Jane was born in 1820. I know they had three daughters , Sarah ( my great grandmother ),Hannah (who went to live in the USA) & Elizabeth ( known as Lily) who married Thomas Law & had two children ,Edith & Arthur. They had some connection with a Mrs E. Pallendine of Oak Lodge, Poynders Road, Clapham Park, London. Can anyone enlighten me as to what the connection was? I wonder if Jane's maiden name was Pallendine. If it wasn't does anyone know what it was? Would also like yo know more about the Wrights. Family folklore has it that Hannah founded a marmalade empire both here & in the States! All information welcome. Thanks Karen |
