Anerson from Ireland and Govan, Glasgow Trying to find John Anderson and Jane Brown from Ireland. Don't know if they stayed in Ireland or whether they moved to Govan Glasgow with their son: James Anderson. He married Margaret Clarke and both were born in Ireland in the 1850's. James was a boat yard labourer, then an iron driller in the boat yards in Govan during the ship building years. Had a son called John on july 17th 1880 in Govan, glasgow. John became a master hairdresser and married Ann Gibson Shields in 1908 in Govan. They had 3 children James, Anne and Margaret and moved to Stevenston in Ayrshire to run the hairdressing business. Any info out there |
