I am looking for anyone who may be related to John Frederick Mitchell of Halifax, born 1881, died 1966. He was married to Annie Galvin born c1898, died 1946, and their children are Harry, Robert, Irvine, Roy, and Ernest(deceased 2003). His brother was Charles Everard Mitchell, astrologer to Halifax Evening Courier, author and local councillor. His other siblings were Mary, Lily and Arthur, possibly more. Their father John Mitchell was Civic Toastmaster and Macebearer at Halifax Town Hall, born c 1851 in Midgeley, and married to Alice Rose Thistlethwaite, born c1847 in Belloby? They lived at 21 Helm St Skircoat, Yorkshire at the time of the 1881 census. I am descended from Robert Mitchell, (who is now living in Norfolk, aged 80.) Julie Theobald (nee Mitchell) |
