Trying to find details about my mother's first marriage, husband's surname WRIGHT. I am unable to trace marriage on GRO index. My mother was Olive Kathleen Douglass born 6/11/23 at Barnes, Surrey, brought up at Biscester Road Surrey. She went to school at Sheen Primary, Sheen County Girls' School & Richmond Girls School. During the war Olive worked as a telephonist and at one time at the Admiralty. Olive said her first husband was a pilot in the Royal Air Force, who went missing on a mission over the English Channel during the Second World War. Olive also had a baby boy who died. Does any one have any information about this marriage and this period in her life? |
