Seeking birth & death info for WILLIAM THOMAS, born c 1860, in Monkton, Pembrokeshire. He married my great-grandmother, Eliza WOGAN, on 8/9/1885 at the Westgate Chapel in Pembroke. His age then was 25 and he lived in Orange Gardens, Pembroke. The cert states his father as being JOHN THOMAS, a gardener. Their children were: FREDERICK JOHN THOMAS b 1886 GLADYS MARY THOMAS b 1887 (my maternal grandmother) EDITH EVELYN THOMAS b 1894 WALTER JOHN THOMAS b 1896 I have found him on the 1891 and 1901 Censuses, by which time he was a Market Gardener. I also remember an 'Aunty LILY', a younger sister of GLADYS MARY THOMAS. I know she married an OWEN (surname unknown) and had a daughter JUNE, who married JOHN, surname also unknown and last heard of living in Farnham in the 1950s. WILLIAM THOMAS was deceased by 11 December 1912, when Gladys got married. I would be most grateful for any info that would help me to pinpoint my WILLIAM THOMAS! Ros James |
