Alice Jackson (nee Harrison) is my great aunt and i think she was born sometime near the turn of 20th century. she lived in Denton in Greater Manchester and was a respected memeber of the community, she was also a sunday school teacher at Christ Church. She looked after her parents untill their death and caused something of a scandal within the family by marrying the Church verger at the age of 60 a Jackson, she also caused more outrage by being left the bulk of her fathers inheitence with her brother (my great grandfather) recceiving nothing. I know that she moved to wales then Disley i think. The man she married had two sons from his previous marriage. I would like to hear any memories that anyone had of this woman who has held such intrique within my family. i'm looking forward to hearing from you. thank you. |
