Member Since: January 2004 Posts: 16 Send Message	Trying to find information about my grandmother Harriet Evans who married Alan Heptinstall. They had 12 children Joe, Bill,Fred, Ernest, George, Alan, Nancy,Elsie, Florence, Lil,Edith and Alice. I know what happened to all the children but no know how on Harriet or her ancestors. She was 1 of 8 herself - Joe (1871), Tom (1878), Sam (1880), Flo,Sarah, Mary and Phoebe. Phoebe married Eli Walker and they lived in Bradford and had 5 girls, Hannah, Betty, Emily, Elizabeth and Mary (last living of the 5 who died 10.8.88). Harriett was born in Normanton, Yorkshire 1875, and Tom was born in Castleford, Yorks in 1878 the others appear to have been born in Sutton, Notts where Harriett's mother also called Harriett was born, Harriett (senior) may have been called Haslam before she married Thomas Evans (1848) of Wirksworth, Derby. Harriett (senior) was born in 1849 and her parents were Saml. Sleightholm(e) b 1823 and Hannah b 1823 in Sutton in Ashfield. Saml's parents were I think John and Mary Sleightholm(e).
