NORTH YORKSHIRE. Looking for any info on my GGGrandfather BARKER JOHNSON. Born 1851 in Wombleton, Helmsley to JANE JOHNSON. Not sure if maiden or married name as no fathers name on birth certificate. Informant on birth cert is an occupier of COURT GARTHS or COTE GARTHS. Does this ring a bell or do you know who to contact to find about this residence? I`ve tried Wombleton Gazette but no luck. BARKER JOHNSON married ANN BARKER in 1872 in STONEGRAVE CHURCH, Yorkshire amd had four children: JANE ANN(1874), GEORGE WM(1876), FLORENCE(1878) and TOM(1880). ANN`s brother and sister are DAVID and ELIZABETH BARKER. I would be very grateful for any help whatsoever please as I have come to a dead end. Kate Johnson.
