Trying to find relations of my late maternal Grandmother BERTHA Edna WRIGHT (born in Heanor Road, Ilkeston 1893) and her brother John Albert born in Ilkeston ... 1891/2 - he married Grace (unknown) and had a son John Albert (or Albert John) as some records show. Berthas Father was Albert WRIGHT (miner) and Mother Mary PHILLIPS.... Marys brother was Ezekial PHILLIPS There is a connection with the Police force - Uncle and cousin -Will EARL - in Nottingham in the 1920's-1930's.... the firstname Grace also shows in the family... There was a Sephton and Gladys possibly DAWSON in the family somewhere.. Berthas mothers cousin .. Bertha's brother John Albert married and had a child or children but he died in his 30's I believe. His son was also named John Albert (or vice versa) the census for various years name them differently. Bertha married Frank Wallis WHITE in 1917 in Melbourne. Derbyshire.... they had a daughter (my mother) Phyllis in 1923. Bertha sadly died in Liverpol in 1979 before my daughter was born... Phyllis (Bertha's only child) died in 1990. Would love to hear from any one who knows of any relatives or leads. Thank you Nadine |
