Member Since: May 2003 Posts: 210 Send Message	Looking for information or links to the Baker family of Hudswell, Hipswell and Patrick Brompton, which are villages west & south of Richmond in North Yorkshire. John Baker (1695 - 1768) married Ann Hodgson(1703 -1774) and they had five children, who were all baptised in North Yorkshire - John (bap 25 June 1726 Melsonby) Samuel (bap 22 Oct 1727 Aldborough) Anne (bap 24 Oct 1731 Hudswell) Robert (bap 25 March 1733 Hudswell) William (bap 18 Aug 1745 Hudswell) Robert married Ann Lodge on the 16th August 1762 at Patrick Brompton. They had nine children, the first six were born when the family lived in Scotton Fields, in the Parish of Patrick Brompton & were baptised in the Parish of Hipswell - Robert (bn 1763 - ?) Anne (bn 1765 - ?) John (bn 1766) (died as infant) John (bn 1767) (died as infant) Samuel (bn 1768 - 1836) Francis (bn 1770 - ?) The last three were born when the family moved north to Newsham and were baptised in the Parish Church of Kirby Ravensworth - John (bn 1773 - 1793) Susanna (bn 1777 - ?) Adam (bn 1779 - ?).
