Parker branch from Irvine, Ayrshire, settled in Northampton in 1860s. The father was James Thomson Parker, a farmer's son who went south and ran a tailor/outfitter's in Marefair, Northampton, late 19thC. He had five sonsJohn,James,William(who worked his way up in the shoe trade to be MD of a firm)George(married an Ayrshire girl but no issue),and Robert-all born in 1870s. Anyone know of descendants still in Northampton area? Sheena (nee Parker) |
