I am trying to find information on the father of David Wood, david was born in Hull 1855/56 He moved to Grimsby and sailed as a fisherman out of the port, later becoming a pilot david married Francis Rigley 06.12.1876 at St James church in Grimsby and had 4 children Mary Anne 1878 Francis May 1880 George Henry 1881 and David 1884 who was my wifes grandfather the only thing I have been able to find out about the father of david is that when he attended his sons marriage his occupation was listed as carpenter, and it would seem that one son was named david for at least 4 generations family talk is that this branch of the Wood family may have originated in the Leeds area?? any information regarding any of the above people would be most appreciated |
