My Grandfather, Allan Jackson, born Wallingfen, ERYorkshire, 25/1/1898, was a Merchant Seaman. He married someone from Larne, Ireland and had a son. His wife died either having their son or sometime soon after. As far as we know the son survived and lived with his mothers' family. Grandad then married Grandma 1925 in Leeds, Yorkshire. One of Grandad's friends also came from Larne. He was called 'Paddy' Gillan or Gillen, and he married Grandad's sister Amy. Does anyone have any information about my half Uncle? Any info would be very happily received. |
