I have a William Henry HUGHES, an axlesmith/blacksmith, (born c 1850 in Cayham, Staffs or Shrops - not sure where Cayham was/is) Who married a Sarah Ann YOUNG (born c 1850 in West Bromwich, Staffs) around Dec 1873 in West Bromwich He is also recorded on the 1901 census as being married to a Mary Hughes (born c 1850 in Birmingham) He and Sarah had a child William Henry HUGHES also blacksmith/axlesmith, born 18th January 1876, Oakswell End, Wednesbury who I think married Clara CONNER and fathered the following: Clara HUGHES born 20.04.1892 Leek Street, Birmingham James William HUGHES born 29.04.1893 56 Holt Street, Aston Nellie HUGHES born 28.04.1896 7 Court, 5 Highgate Street, Deritend, who married Joseph Henry Steventon and died in 1915. Emily HUGHES born 20.02.1899 Back of 28 Cape Street, All Saints, who married Reuben Hancox and died on 18.12.1960 (She was my grandmother) William Henry HUGHES born 29.12.1900 Back of 28 Cape Street, All Saints There may have also been further siblings called Peggy, Gert and Lizzie HUGHES Meanwhile William Henry HUGHES and Sarah Young Hughes may have also had the following children in addition to W H Hughes born 1876...
