Trying to find any information on my grandparents: Arthur Nelson Allen married Florence Sybil Mildred Burton in 1936 in Gravesend I believe and were both born in or around the London area. Together they had two daughters Carol and Christine. Artur remarried sometime between 1981 and 1985 name of second wife unknown. Arthur so I am told was a twin and Florence had a sister called Edith known as Edie who spent many years in Hastings. Also trying to find information about my great grandparents ( parents of Florence and Edith Burton): Father's name unknown but used to be a Battersea councillor and remarried after 1915. Mother was Sybil Victoria Burton possibly nee Holbrook. Born in 1888 possibly in Longden? Upton upon Severn, Worcestershire. Died in 1915 aged 27 and was buried in Wandsworth cemetery. Parents of Sybil Victoria Holbrook? possibly Alice and George although not confirmed and there may be a connection with an Ernest G and a William J Holbrook all of Longden?, upton upon Severn, Worcestershire. If you can give me any information about any of these people it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |
