I am trying to find my late husband's mother who may well be dead. Her last known address was in Kirkcaldy, living with an Isa Brown. She had a sister Annie who may have been Agnes, married Peter Redpath and lived in Coaltown of Wemyss. She never married and my husband was adopted by Aunt Charlotte's sister Annie and her husband. He was born John but changed his name to Iain Robertson Redpath, I wd think Aunt Charlotte was born between 1910 and 1920 and I seem to remember her birthday was 19 April. We never knew who Iain's father was, much to his great distress, but I wd like to find out more for my children's sake so that they know where they come from. They don't even know their proper surname. |
