My grandad - David - married Mable, Father of Margaret (mother). David died of Polio in c1928 - Mable died of cancer c1936. They lived around the Burnley/Colne area and for a time in Blackpool. I know my mum's history after she was 16 but she never talked about it much before. I know she was brought up after her mum's death until 16 by her Uncle Albert ( who was very strict and quite brutal) and Aunty Edith - I don't know if they were man and wife or brother and sister and that they were very religieous Methodists but that is all I know. Can any one help me go back further |
