WRIGHTs of Aldwarke, Rawmarsh, Rochdale Yorks. 1600s & 1700s Wrights lived at (owned?) Aldwarke Farm in the river valley south of Rawmarsh Yorks. One WRIGHT brother married a Francis FOLJAMBE (of Aldwarke Hall in the same valley (was it their farm?) - 'marrying the bosses daughter?'. The farm was probably sold out to the railway companies as there are shunting yards and industrial sites on the area now. Anyone have any info. on Aldwarke Farm and the WRIGHTs? I know my line of WRIGHTs went from there to Catcliffe (Red Lion pub), Darley Dale (station master)and Long Eaton (coalyard) over the next four generations - but where were they all from originally?
